A Home and a Future for Black Innovators

Entrepreneurship is the key to closing the racial wealth gap. However, access to resources that serve this goal is often scarce, mismanaged, or poorly disseminated. Additionally, systemic racism fueled by both conscious and unconscious bias can make it difficult for Black folk to be owners and build economies that sustain their communities without exploitation. Since completing their visual rebrand in 2021, our Founder has been installed as a strategic advisor for Black Innovation Alliance. winning highlights
Under SJL’s efforts, BIA managed to secure deals with notable entities like Time Magazine, thanks to the strength of their brand presentation. BIA has continuously experienced growth since inception attributed to a compelling brand presence that was developed with full intention. The brand strategy has facilitated donations, media partnerships, and expanding opportunities, positioning BIA for success and impact over the coming years​​.
Client Relationship
The SJL x BIA relationship first began with Jason Giles’ admiration for BIA and a desire to join as a member. Although his initial application didn’t lead to immediate collaboration, later on he was hired to help deliver a deck template package. This initial project helped jumpstart a relationship of visual brand strategy efforts backed by SJL’s branding process.
